Performance by Arvida Byström

INTERVIEW WITH AN AI SEX DOLL

A Cybernetic Doll’s House is a performance art piece where Swedish photographer and digital artist Arvida Byström interviews an AI sex doll named Harmony. Exploring our relationships with our anthropomorphic creations, the performance asks us to confront our fears and hesitations around robotics—why do they scare us so, and can we ever build a healthy society with them? Each performance will be followed by a conversation between Arvida and the Director of Exhibitions Marina Paulenka.

Arvida Byström is one of the exhibiting artists in the group show NUDE where 30 female-identifying artists seek to recontextualize the naked body in contemporary art.
