Black Future Week

Stories of Sustainability

A group of young people joining a panel talk.

We are delighted to host a discussion with members of Germany's fashion industry, including Alina Bassi, Janek Bonasewicz, Jennifer von Walderdorff and Beatrace Angut Oola, moderated by Kemi Fatoba, the founder and editor of Berlin-based culture magazine DADDY, and in collaboration with BLACKFUTUREWEEK.

The discussion aims to provide attendees with a comprehensive view of the industry ecosystem, focusing on the topic of sustainability and fostering openness to new roles and partnerships, as well as the ongoing efforts of participants and companies to promote sustainability, considering the profound impact of fast fashion on the Diaspora and Western Africa.

Following the talk, FAAM Studio will present a modern dance performance A Dance On The Moon featuring sustainable clothing designed locally by FAAM, a brand innovating upcycled fashion through minimal-waste techniques. Afterward, join us for an afterparty with DJ Tithey.
