Step inside the world of Helga Paris – where raw photography, East Berlin memories, and contemporary beats collide.

Join us on 06 September 2025 at Fotografiska Berlin for an Exhibition Takeover, an immersive evening where art, music, and community converge inside the museum’s exhibition hall. In collaboration with IFA Berlin this one-night event brings new life to Helga Paris’ für uns, a deeply human photographic journey through five decades including her well-known series featuring life and people in the GDR. Dance to a special live DJ set by Eva Be, producer and artist, born and raised in East Berlin – with opening set support from Cle, one of West Berlin’s most influential DJs.

Eva emerged from the heart of the city’s underground club culture in the ‘90s. Her sound - shaped by dub, house, and experimental electronics reflects decades of musical evolution and personal connection to Berlin’s shifting identity. Her set will weave together memory and rhythm, echoing the stories captured in Paris’s photography and reactivating the emotional landscape of a once-divided city.

Roam around the exhibition with a drink in hand. Let Helga Paris’ honest, empathetic lens guide you through East Germany’s everyday lives - from factory workers and street corners to intimate interiors. As Eva Be spins her signature sound, she channels the spirit of the era Helga Paris captured bridging memory and rhythm in a uniquely Berlin moment.

This is not your typical museum visit. It’s a night where history moves to a beat, and photography meets the pulse of the present.
