PROGRAM

At 4:30pm, the event’s first panel, Club Culture as Catalyst: Inspiring Artistic Development, kicks off with moderator Mirik Milan discussing the history of club culture and how it intersects with cross-disciplinary art communities the world over. Speakers will include Naja Orashvili, Giorgi Kikonishvili, Elena Natale, Ariel Palitz and Bogomir Doringer.

At 6pm, the second panel, The Importance of Experimental Programming and Elevating Displaced Communities, will seek to show how diverse programming in cultural instituions can uplift communities experiencing displacement. Moderated by the drag performer BLEACH, speakers include Lutz Leichsenring, Tjioe Hecken, Ukai Ndame, and our very own director of exhibitions, Marina Paulenka.

Berlin’s diverse club culture is a social, identity-building, and economic anchor for many people in this city. The club scene and its people are known far beyond the city and its national borders, contributing to Berlin’s image as a hub for creative potential and progressive movements. In A Dancefloor Education, protagonists from the Berlin and international club scene will discuss the current status and prospects clubs are facing in a time of ever-increasing challenges.
