Teen Holiday Academy: The Story of Me in Motion

A one-week animation workshop for young people (ages 11–15)

Image of an art studio showing a women and young people

Inspired by Lauren Greenfield’s Social Studies exhibition, Fotografiska Berlin and Clavis School for Art and Science invite young people (ages 11–15) to create their own animated short film.

Guided by a professional animation instructor, participants will use creative tools –analog photography, drawing, animation, voice, and group discussions – to develop a film based on their own ideas, experiences, and perspectives. Through this collaborative process, they’ll explore themes like identity, visibility, and self-worth while taking a conscious step back from social media.

The workshop takes place at the museum during Berlin’s autumn school break. Parents/guardians and their children receive free admission to our exhibitions for the duration of the workshop.

Important: Please book only if your child is between 11–15 years old, as the program is tailored specifically for this age group.
