Design is everywhere - it shapes how we interact with objects, spaces, and ideas. As part of Berlin Design Week, we are hosting a conversation that brings together diverse perspectives from leading creative minds. Explore how design finds purpose in different contexts - whether in museums, branding, books, or the objects we use daily.

In this panel, we will uncover the intent behind design choices about materials, forms, packaging, spatial storytelling, and accessibility, and discuss how these elements shape functionality, experience, and emotion.

The panel features:

• Maryam Keyhani, a multidisciplinary artist and designer based in Berlin whose surrealist accessories blur the line between fashion and fantasy;

• Steve Molloy und Gunnar Rönsch, co-founders of Fundamental, a Berlin-based design studio blending geometry, nature, and function together to transform everyday objects into sculptural interior experiences;

• George Shumay from Fuerst Wiacek, a Berlin-based craft brewery that approaches beer-making as a design discipline in itself, making their brand as visually striking as the flavors they develop;

• Tyler Udall, a senior creative and founder of Udall Ceramics, where handcrafted pieces bring opulence, charm, and a touch of humor to everyday rituals.

Adina Bier, Director of Retail at Fotografiska Berlin, moderates the talk, bringing a sharp curatorial eye to how design lives in both cultural and commercial spaces.

After the talk, stay for a drink, browse design items and continue the conversation at our store.
