Explore the human form beyond traditional representation in this open-level drawing workshop led by artist and choreographer Salvatore. Drawing from Viviane Sassen’s exhibition The Body As Sculpture, you will reimagine the body as full of possibility.
Sassen’s work challenges rigid beauty standards and embraces the body’s fluid, abstract potential through surreal collages, sculpture, and self-portraiture – offering a powerful meditation on transformation, perception, and the gaze.
In response, you’ll experiment with classical drawing techniques, movement, and printed materials, guided by Salvatore’s interdisciplinary practice that blends visual art and choreography. The session closes with a group conversation—an open space to reflect, share your experience, and connect with others through embodied creativity.
